I'm a 16-year-old-who-wishes-she-was-in-college-gal that just moved to good 'ol Jacksonville, Florida...but..we're talking about country-jacksonville...not urban-jacksonville...whoo-hoo! Rednecks ya all!
Anyways, I'm a graphic artist and web designer that loves to draw even though she really isn't that good ...ha, yeah, fun! Anyways, um...yeah...
I love fantasy/sci-fi characters and really would love to be a concept artist for movies as a side job once I'm older. First, though, I think I need to start on actually completeling compositions...heh
Welp, posted up a new concept drawing of a werewolf for my rpg(http://www.dark-is-light.org/rpgforums) and I also decided to use my sister's cheap camera thing to take some pics and make a userprofile image! I feel so smart! Still thinking about posting up the other photos, though...
Pfft, the only reason I notice is because I collect the japanese version and the translation that I read, done by a japanese american, are a little off from the english version. Honestly, though, I think the only reason I got mad is because they messed up a conversation between Knives and Vash and makes it look like Knives wanted to kill Vash, which he doesn't.
But, then again, that could just be me as well. Darkhorse is doing much better than other american companies, though, so I'll give them cred for that!
The only thing that bugs me about the DarkHorse translation is the constant use of Japanese words. Sure there are Japanese on Gunsmoke (there should be, or I'm protesting) but I don't think Millie and a little Caucasian-looking boy would say "sempai" "Vash-san" and "Vash-aniki" I think it's amusing.
